About us
Welcome to the home of “Society for Old Lucan (SOL)”. We were founded in 2017 by a group of individuals living in Lucan who are all passionate about local history and heritage. We make up a motley bunch; an ex-archaeologist-turned librarian, three local-historians (one with digital imaging skills, another an expert in historical furniture and “big houses”), a Master’s student of local history, and a photographer/drone operator.
